Shari Keck MSW Intern

Hi, I’m Shari Keck—I am a Master of Social Work student from Walden University with a background in psychology. I look forward to my work here at Trauma & Beyond as an intern to strengthen my clinical skills. One of my greatest passions is making a positive impact on the world around me and making even the smallest change for a brighter future! Besides finishing up my MSW degree, I enjoy making the fluffiest sourdough bread, getting my hands in the soil gardening, and exploring nature through hiking, mountain biking, and camping!

I am especially drawn to trauma-informed care and supporting clients as they work through past experiences that may not be fully processed or understood! Healing starts with the right support, tools, and space where one feels safe to explore their experiences, emotions, and feelings!

My approach to practice is grounded in empathy, active listening, and a strength-based perspective. I value creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and respected. We each have our own unique experiences and challenges. My goal is to walk alongside you, supporting you as you navigate those challenges and work towards a meaningful change!
